What The Lodge Provides

Guest Services at Clouds Rest LLC

Six lodge services gather under one roof line at Clouds Rest LLC on North Columbus Street in Salt Lake City. Each one is built for guests who want a mountain stay without the friction of arranging every detail alone. Read through the list below, then call the desk at +17157770122 and we will hold the room, the table and the trail for you.

Lodge Rooms and Suites

Room Key K1

Our lodge rooms are the heart of the house. Walls of timber and stone hold the warmth of the day long after the ridge turns blue, and deep window seats open toward the peaks so a guest can watch the weather move without leaving the blanket. Each room is dressed with wool, cotton and a small chest for the belongings you unpack first. There is a writing desk for the guest who keeps a journal, a reading lamp on a brass hook and a chest of drawers that has carried the same quiet oiling for years.

Suites add a sitting room, a private bath and a fireplace that the staff lay and light before you arrive. Families often take two connecting rooms, while couples who want more space choose a suite on the upper floor where the morning light arrives first. Housekeeping visits daily, fresh linen is always available, and quiet hours begin early so the whole house sleeps as soundly as the mountain outside it. Room keys are brass and numbered by hand, and the desk keeps a duplicate for the guest who misplaces one on the trail.

Trailhead Breakfast Service

Room Key K2

Mountain mornings start before the sun, and our kitchen is awake for them. Trailhead breakfast is packed into a canvas satchel: warm bread, boiled eggs, dried fruit, local cheese and a flask of strong coffee. The desk hands each satchel to a guest at the porch door along with a route card for the day, marked with the weather and the likely ground underfoot. Guests who prefer a slower start may take the full breakfast in the dining hall, where the long table faces the peaks and the stove keeps the room warm through the meal.

The service runs in every season. In deep winter we add a thermos of soup and a spare pair of gloves for guests who plan to be out past noon. Trailhead breakfast is included for lodge guests who reserve the night before, and cabin guests may order it to their own door. Special diets are easy to arrange when the kitchen has a day of notice, and the team is glad to pack extra for children or for a guest who wants to share with a walking companion.

Guided Ridge Walks

Room Key K3

Our guides lead small parties onto the ridge and back, matching the route to the weather and to the experience of the group. The lower shoulder walk is gentle and suited to families, while the longer ridge route climbs to open ground for a wide view of the valley and the city below. Every guide carries a map, a first aid kit and a spare lantern, and every party moves at the pace of its slowest member. Nobody is left behind on a Clouds Rest walk, and nobody is hurried for the sake of a schedule.

Walks leave the porch in the morning and again in the long light of the afternoon. Each outing ends with tea at the lodge, where wet boots dry beside the stove and the guide marks the day route on a shared map. Guests may ask for a private walk, a photography walk or a quiet route with fewer stops. We keep the groups small on purpose, because a mountain is best understood slowly and with good company.

Event and Retreat Halls

Room Key K4

Two halls in the lodge hold gatherings of nearly every size. The larger hall has exposed beams, a stone hearth and tall doors that open onto the porch, and it seats a company assembly or a wedding party with room to spare. The smaller room suits workshops, readings, planning sessions and small ceremonies. Both halls can be arranged for dining, for seated work or for an open floor, and the team resets the room between uses so each gathering begins clean.

Clouds Rest LLC arranges seating, sound, meals and lodging as a single booking. That means an organiser speaks with one team rather than a stack of separate vendors, and the plan stays whole from the first enquiry to the final bill. Our kitchen prepares retreat menus, our desk handles arrivals and our guides can lead a walking break in the middle of a working day. We have hosted training weeks, family reunions, writing retreats and quiet weddings under these beams, and each one left the hall ready for the next.

Seasonal Cabin Stays

Room Key K5

Beyond the main lodge our seasonal cabins give guests more room to breathe and a longer horizon to look at. Each cabin has a stove, a sleeping loft, a small kitchen corner and a porch that faces the trees. The cabins open in spring and stay ready through the snow, and guests who book a cabin keep full access to every lodge service, from breakfast to the halls. A cabin feels like a private wing of the same house, close enough to walk to dinner yet far enough for real quiet.

Winter cabins come with a wood box, an oil lamp and a heated path cleared to the lodge door. Summer cabins open their windows to the smell of pine and the sound of the creek. Guests who stay a full season often make the cabin their base for writing, painting or simply resting, and the desk can arrange a weekly clean, a grocery run and a standing breakfast order. Tell us how long you plan to stay and we will match you to the cabin that suits the season best.

Concierge and Luggage Care

Room Key K6

The concierge desk watches the small things that turn a good stay into an easy one. Need a charger, a forgotten toothbrush, a hired car at the door or a table booked in town? The desk arranges it. Luggage care begins the moment a trunk reaches the rack: we tag it, carry it to your room and store it safely if you arrive before check in or leave after check out. Guests who walk the ridge for a last morning may leave their bags at the desk and collect them at the porch on the way out.

The desk can book a guide, hold a parcel, post a letter, wake you before a dawn walk or find a quiet corner for a phone call. It keeps a list of trusted local services and a small kit of items guests most often forget. Guests tell us this is the service they miss most after they leave, and we take that as the highest compliment a mountain house can earn. Whatever the hour, there is someone at the desk who knows the house and the ridge well enough to help.

How A Stay Comes Together

From first enquiry to the porch lantern

Step One — Tell us the shape of your stay

Write to enquiry@cloudsrest.hair or call the desk at +17157770122. Tell us your dates, the size of your party and whether you want a room, a suite or a cabin. If the visit is for a gathering, tell us the room you need and the food you would like, and we will build the plan around it.

Step Two — We hold the space and answer questions

The desk replies with what is open, what is included and what the season asks of a guest. We mark the room, the hall or the cabin, and we answer every question about trails, meals and transport before you commit to anything.

Step Three — Arrive to a pressed key

On arrival we meet you at the porch, carry your luggage to the room and hand over a pressed brass key. Breakfast orders are taken for the morning, the lantern is lit, and the ridge is waiting just beyond the door.
